Valentine Warner is well- known for his passion, enthusiasm & talent for all things culinary and we are pleased to announce that he has agreed to come and share some of his passion with us at La Cucina Caldesi.  He has created a wonderful seasonal 3 course Italian menu for you all to cook and enjoy; this promises to be a very special hands-on cookery evening, see our course listings for details.

Katie & Giancarlo have joined forces with the fabulous Moretti beer and to celebrate we have created a series of fun Moretti & Pizza making evenings running on Friday nights throughout the spring/summer months.

Perfect for a quick bite after work or before heading out for your Friday evening entertainment! There are 2 classes to choose from, take your pick. 6pm - 7.30pm or 8pm - 9.30pm.

Join Gennaro Contaldo in his new cookery course 'Gennaro's Easy Italian', together you will cook an array of simple, quick, Italian dishes that can be easily recreated at home, there will be dishes for everyday lunches & suppers and also some more suitable for those 'special occasions'; but don't worry the emphases is on taste, flavour and ease, so you get to spend quality time in the kitchen and also with your friends and family.

We are pleased to announce that Katie & Giancarlo Caldesi are running a series of new cookery courses for Spring & Summer at their restaurant, Caldesi in Campagna, Bray.   The details can be found on the Bray restaurant website and you are able to book directly online using our online booking system, at La Cucina Caldesi.

We have created a new two day, hands-on Italian cookery course for those of you who love Italy, its culture and customs and would like to learn more about Italian cuisine.  This is the perfect opportunity for you to indulge in all things Italian for a weekend. 

The course is run over a Saturday & Sunday, where you'll be working hard to cover the main aspects of Italian cookery, to create a fabulous Saturday lunch and dinner, returning the next morning for a trip to Marylebone Farmer's market in search of ingredients for the perfect Italian Sunday lunch. We hope to squeeze in a chocolate tasting for those of you who are chocolate gourments, a wine tasting for those of you who are wine buffs and a truffle tasting for those of you who adore the wonderful aroma and taste of these black and white diamonds...

What the course includes:

• Light welcome breakfast on Saturday & Sunday morning
• hands-on cookery lessons on both Saturday and Sunday
• Saturday lunch & dinner, Sunday lunch only
• Wine with lunches and dinners, along with water, tea/coffee
• A recipe pack containing all the recipes covered during the weekend

We have added lots of new cookery courses for you, as well as many of our popular, regular classes, to keep you busy in the kitchen and helping you to learn more about Italian cookery. Here are just a few higlights of what is in store ...

Katie Caldesi is teaching a great new course based on her new Regional Italian cookery book, 'The Italian Cookery Course', pub by Kyle Cathie. Katie is teaching this one-day, hands-on cookery course in the New Year, (Monday 25th January, 10am - 4pm, £150.  It will be an intense cookery day bursting with regional Italian dishes, which Katie has developed from her 3 years of extensive research throughout Italy.

We have decided to revamp our fresh pasta & 6 sauces cookery course; giving the opportunity to those of you who have already been to us to delve deeper into Italian cookery by being introduced to regional pastas and their sauces - 'Pasta, Pasta, Pasta'. This course will also be suitable for people who have not made pasta before, as everything will be made from scratch; the course will be led by Valentina Harris, the dishes will be seasonal and many based upon those in Valentina's new cookery book entitled, 'Pasta Galore' 10.30am - 2.00pm or 6.30pm - 9.30pm, £75 per person.

Vouchers are available for all of our advertised cookery courses, or if you are not sure what to choose why not opt for an open voucher - prices start from any price you choose and can go up to any value too.  All vouchers are valid for 1 year, so there is plenty of time for your gift to be used.

Have a look at our 'Italian Mama's cookery club' section on our website for an up-dated list of our current cookery courses on offer.  We have a range of courses for younger children, (approximately ages 6 yrs - 12 yrs) , running in the through until the end of August 2010.  Along with courses for teens (16 yrs - 18yrs) in April during the Easter break & summer months of July & August. 

We have created a new cookery and craft course children and teens during July & August, where everyone spends the morning cooking a selection of Italian dishes followed by the chance to  create a range of  useful crafts, such as aprons, beach bags, cupcake pin cushions, under the expert guidance of 'The Thrifty Stitcher'.

We are also running a fabulous course focusing on quick, simple and tasty dishes that are perfect for lunch/supper in a busy household.  'Midweek meals for the family' run by Ursula Ferrigno; children are welcome to jon their parents on this fun and inspiring course.  It is aimed at encouraging parents and children to come into the kitchen and get cooking. (Please call the office prior to booking to ensure the age of your child is appropriate for the course!)

On occasions, if appropriate, we are happy to take children on our adult courses if accompanied by an adult; call the office if you wish to discuss this further

After a welcome reception of a glass of chilled prosecco, (depending on time of day) make a colourful selection of seasonal Italian antipasti followed by either a pasta sauce to be served with a main course of pasta, or for those who prefer something a little sweeter you could opt for an Italian dessert.
